Ways to Replace an ECU Unit in a Range Rover 1Open and prop up the hood from the Range Rover.2Disconnect the unfavorable terminal in the battery with a wrench. The unfavorable terminal will probably be marked having a unfavorable sign and has a black cable running to it.3Open the passenger-side front door.

4Remove the door sill by pulling it up in the edge. The door sill is held on by plastic clips and will need moderate force to remove.5Remove the passenger side kick panel. The kick panel is often a plastic trim piece directly to the proper of exactly where the passenger's feet would rest. The panel is held on with screws that you could eliminate using a screwdriver.6Remove the ECU with a ratchet.7Unplug the connectors going towards the ECU by pushing down on the tab in the connector and pulling them directly outward.8Plug the connectors in to the new ECU.

9Install the ECU using the bolts you removed earlier having a ratchet Auto tools.10Put the kick panel back in location and tighten the screws.11Install the door sill by pushing it down firmly till you really feel the plastic clips snap into spot Obd2 scanner.12Reinstall the negative terminal back onto the battery with a wrench, then close the hood.
